52.CHATURBHUJ NARAYAN
One who has four hands". It is famous that Maha Vishnu has four hands and they carry the Conch, the Discus, the Mace, and the Lotus. According to the Puranas, these four are used by the Lord in maintaining Dharma among mankind. The 'Conch' calls man to the righteous path that directly leads to Peace and Perfection, the Divine Vishnupada. Very many of us in the enchantment of the immediate sense-joys refuse to listen to the small inner voice of conscience,the sound of the Paanchajanya-conch, and so He wields the 'Mace' and we come to suffer small calamities and tragic jerks in our smooth existence -communal, social or national. If still the individual is not listening to the call of the 'Conch', the wheel-of-time, Chakra annihilates the entire. The call and the punishment are all only to take man towards his Ultimate Goal, represented by the "Lotus" in His hand. Subjectively Vishnu is the Self within, who manifests as the four-armed 'subtle-body' to serve as the Eesa of the gross physical structure, in all its actions and protect it with existence. The "Subtle-body" as the inner-equipment (Antah-Karana) functions as four mighty powers -mind, intellect, chit and ego. Chit is the 'Lotus', intellect is the 'Conch', ego is the 'Mace', and mind is the 'Discus'. All these four are wielded by the One Infinite Blue-bodied Narayana, clothed in His 'yellow garb', manifesting to maintain and sustain the world of good and evil. Since the Self functions thus in a four-fold pattern, Vishnu has the appellation, "the four-armed Lord."
53. PURUSHOTAMAH
Puru-sattamah -One who is Greater among the great. Here the word Puru means ‘great’. In some readings we find instead of this term “Puru-sattamah” the term “Purushottamah” is used, in which case the meaning is the Omnipresent (Purusha) and the Best (Uttamah)-the Absolute Reality. The Purushottamah Shaligram Shila blesses the devotee with immense strength, devotion, protection against the negative forces, evils and black magic / occult, dignity, respect in the society, strong determination, wealth prosperity, peaceful environment fulfills all wishes. By worshipping this Shaligram Shila the path to salvation and attaining Moksha becomes very clear and easy to achieve.
54.ADWAITYA GOLDEN MAHAMRITUNJAYA BHOOR BHUVAS GAYATRI VAIKUNTHA SHALIGRAM
The powerful Bhoor Bhavas Gayatri Shila Mahamritunjaya Vaikuntha Shila glitters like diamonds and gems, has white shinning crytals/sphatik and has golden coloured impressions inside is considered extremely auspicious, immensely powerful and the ultimate Shila for achieving Salvation or Moksha and all worldly pleasures. The magnificence of Vaikunth is beyond description and it houses many grand palaces fully decorated with jewels and diamonds. These glittering Shilas have several different impressions like teeths representing Lord Narasimha, golden flow of waves represents immense power and wish fulfillment characteristics and white sphatik or crystal represents beautiful lotus flower on which is seated Lord Vishnu along with His consort "Laxmi". Vaikuntha also helps in progeny and devotee is blessed with a virtuous son. As per Skanda Purana Bhoor Bhuvas Gayatri Mahamritunjaya Shaligram Shilas are most rare Shilas amongst all Shaligram Shilas and blesses the worshipper with a very very long life and extremely good health. The power of these Shilas as described in Skanda Puran is such that the living beings who are in the vicinity of these Shilas upto 123 Km diameter too get the benefits of these Shilas without even worshipping them. This Shilas protects from sudden accidents and thefts and brings immense wealth and bestows the life to devotee like that of a King, where apart from being philanthropist and austere nature, he becomes invincible and enjoys tremendous respect, power and high dignity coupled with all worldly pleasures. Apart from the common powers of both these Shilas the Gayatri Shilas increases wit, wisdom, confidence and strong will power and determination in the devotee. The Mahamritunjaya part in the Shila bestows the devotee with very strong intuition and makes all six senses of the devotee to work with perfection. The worshipper can clearly see the future things happening. This Shila is exceptionally good for the meditation. These Shilas are very cold to touch, full of positive energy and tremendous power, extremely protective in nature, blesses the devotee with extremely peaceful environment, provides immense wordly comfort and takes the devotee to spiritual enlightenment and trascendence.
