Basically, Lakshmi is a Sanskrit word which derives from its elemental form Laks means to perceive or to observe. The word Laks is the synonyms of Lakshya which means aim or objective. Goddess Lakshmi is very closely associated with the lotus and her other epithets are also connected to the flower such as-
