How To Do Laxmi Puja | Worship of Maa Laxmi | Procedure of Laxmi Puja

KALASA (POT)

This is a pot in the form of an extended vase (a lota can be utilized in a place of Kalash). Place water within the Kalash. O Great Mother, abode of fortune, Who are worshipped by the Devas, I salute Thee; O Mahaa Laxmi, wielder of conch,disc and mace, obeisance to Thee.

Aum Namaste garu-daaroode, kolaa-sura bhayankari;Sarva paapa hare devi, Mahaa Lakshmi namo-astute.
My salutations to Thee, Who rides the Garuda and art a terror to the demon Kola; O Mahaa Laxmi remover of all miseries, my obeisance to Thee.

Aum Sarvagye sarva varde, sarva dustha bhayankari;Sarva duhkha hare devi, Mahaa Laxmi namo-astute.

Aum Swethambara dhare devi, naanaa lankaar bhooshite;Jagat stithte jagan maatar, Mahaa Laxmi namo-astute. O Devi, robed in white clothes, and decked in various types of adorns, Thou art The Mother of the Universe and its help;OF Mahaa Laxmi, obeisance to Thee.

Aum Mahaa Laksham-yashtak stotram, yahahpathed-bhakti maan narah; Sarva siddhim vaapnoti, Mahaa Lakshmee prasaad taha. Whoever with devotion recites this hymn to Sri Mahaa Laxmi, composed in eight stanzas, attains all fulfillment via the Grace of Laxmi Devi. Take flora or unbroken grains of rice to your fingers. AVAHANAM (INVOCATION)

First of all fill the kalasha with water and offer sandalwood powder, flowers and tulasi to decorate it. Now you need to place a coconut on top of the vessel and put your palms over the top of it while chanting the mantras given below:

We worship the kalasha (vessel above which the coconut is positioned) invoking Mahavishnu at the mouth of the vessel. We invokeLord Rudra who's an component of Lord Shiva on the neck of the kalasha and Brahma at the bottom of the vessel. We invoke the Universal Mother Goddess and Her retinue in midst of the kalasha. THE WORSHIP OF VARUNA

With flowers in your hands, pray that your Earth has been renewed. Now worship Lord Varuna (the god of the Ocean). He is represented by the water you have taken in the kalasa or pot. So Varunapujana is also known as kalasapujana. Now take some water in your hand and say:
