Parad (solidified mercury) is made with 8 Samkaras. The eight Samskars are the 8 stages of purification which is done as per Parad Sanmhita and a thorough medicated and hygienic removal of "Sapta-kanchuki (where in all poisonous material inside Parad is removed)" is followed in this process. While making the Siddha Parad the Mercury mouth is closed with a special technology called as "Aghor Vidhya" and Badhha/Agnibadha (heat sustaining properties of Prard). The making of Parad involves cleansing of Parad using 108 rare herbs and putiing the parad in these herbs individually for a certain period of time as mentioned in the Parad Sanmhita.
